Letner, Jr. in Charlottesville, Virginia. Since then the company has grown from three to seventeen employees and has added two office locations. In 1996, a facility was established in Lynchburg, Virginia, followed by an additional facility in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1997. Shortly after opening in 1976, Ivan Letner, Jr. was joined by his father, Ivan Letner, Sr., adding a depth of experience as well as forming a strong family alliance. Ivan Letner, Sr. is considered one of the founding fathers in the field of prosthetics, having practiced since 1932. A leader in meeting the prosthetic and orthotic needs of Central Virginia, Old Dominion Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. is committed to providing our clients with the highest level of personal and professional care. Our goal is to help our patients live active, independent lives. We work closely with physicians and therapists in the management of patient care. We offer a variety of patient care services from hospital to home. On an emergency basis, assistance is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All of our practitioners are certified by the American Board of Certification. In addition, our practitioners and technicians attend continuing education classes to stay abreast of the frequent changes and advances in the prosthetics and orthotics fields. Attending scientific symposiums throughout the world enables our staff to learn about new products and use the most up-to-date procedures in the care of our patients. |
